Healys Expands its Links in India

Healys has embarked on an ambitious initiative to expand its cross-border work in to India.

The firm has researched the opportunities available to build on its existing clients and contacts in the region and also to expand its profile and reputation in the SME market.

The India team, led by managing partner Marios Pattihis, has just returned from 5 days of appointments in Mumbai and in Delhi. The trip proved enormously successful with the team being extremely well received. Marios had this to say:

“I believe that Healys’ expertise in property and in litigation, together with its entrepreneurial approach was appealing to those that we met. I feel confident that we have assembled the perfect team to drive this India initiative forward”

This latest India trip is part of Healys’ strategy to expand its international client base and this is the first of many proposed visits to the region. Indeed, Marios and his team will be returning to India in January 2009.

The Indian economy has been predicted to grow by up to 7% in 2009 and although the Indian stock market is affected by the global downturn, and is of course depressed as a result of recent terrorist activity, the apprehension which exists is expected to diminish more quickly than in other territories.

With this in mind, the strategic expansion of Healys’ Indian client base together with the inroads the firm is forging in other international territories (including Germany, Turkey and China) represent a significant achievement for the firm and Marios and his team are eager to continue the development of Healys’ international initiative in 2009.
