Charles provides specialist advice and representation on all aspects of United Kingdom immigration law to corporate and private clients.
Charles has more than 15 years' experience gained exclusively in immigration law. Prior to joining Healys as a consultant solicitor, he was the principal partner of a niche immigration firm in Berkshire and, before that, worked for the renowned Refugee Legal Centre (RLC) in London where he was a specialist advocate in political asylum and human rights appeals.
Having managed his own team of dedicated appeals advocates at the RLC, Charles also trained many immigration lawyers who went on to practice at the Bar, in the private and public sectors and for prestigious organisations such as the UNHCR and Amnesty International.
Charles currently continues to enjoy a wide and varied immigration practice, and has developed a particular specialism in business immigration law and, specifically, advising high net worth individuals who wish to enter the UK under the Investor and Entrepreneur categories. A number of high profile banks regularly refer their overseas clients to Charles to assist in these matters.
Further to his work with Healys, Charles also holds seminars on the economic migrant routes to the UK, as well as conducting training on a broader spectrum of immigration issues such as employing foreign workers.
Charles is an experienced advocate and has presented well in excess of 1,000 appeals before immigration tribunals, enjoying a success rate far above the sector average. He often advises other law firms where they have particularly complex immigration issues to resolve.
Basing his practice on sound principles of excellent client care, in-depth knowledge of the law and an ability to think creatively and laterally, Charles strives to assist his clients in achieving their immigration objectives.
