Undertaking work across the entire spectrum of corporate commercial work: providing support on transactional matters, advising upon and preparing terms and conditions of trade, joint venture and shareholders' agreements, exclusivity and non-disclosure arrangements.
Intellectual Property
Non-contentious IP includes: advising clients on IP asset and brand protection; preparing numerous trade mark applications; and advising clients on the suitability for trade mark of specific logos/text.
Support the firm's dispute resolution team through the preparation of cease and desist letters relating to alleged infringements of IP.
James was an integral part of a team responsible for the protection of a time-honoured and internationally renowned brand, a role which included seeing off over 50 potential IP infringements.
Prior to joining Healys in 2006, James studied philosophy at Leeds University, later converting to law through the College of Law.
James's attention to detail and direct approach to his work helped him foster excellent relationships with his clients - relationships based on the implicit trust and confidence that he will achieve the desired result quickly, efficiently and at a competitive rate.
