Victoria Regan is Head of the Employment Department.
Victoria qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and joined Healys as Head of the Employment Department in 2008, having previously been Head of Employment for a firm in East Sussex and Kent.
Victoria has extensive experience in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising employers and employees.
She specialises in all aspects of employment law including the drafting of contracts of employment and advising upon their implementation and variation, the provision of service agreements and consultancy agreements and company handbooks, policies and procedures. She can also assist in negotiating termination/severance packages and advise upon the content of Compromise Agreements.
Victoria advises clients on issues relating to disciplinary, dismissal and grievance procedures, breach of contract, redundancies, reorganisation and restructuring and assists the Company Commercial team with all employment issues connected with mergers and acquisitions and the implications of TUPE (transfer of undertakings) on business transfers, collective redundancies and dismissals.
Victoria also has experience in bringing and defending Employment Tribunal claims from unfair and wrongful dismissal through to high value discrimination and protected disclosure (“whistleblowing”) cases as well as the pursuance of injunctive proceedings in the High Court for breach of restrictive covenants.
Victoria is a member of the ela (Employment Lawyer’s Association), she works alongside Human Resource Managers to assist with in-house training and development and regularly speaks at seminars.
