Cheryl Cole has chosen two high profile female divorce solicitors from London to represent her in her impending divorce from England footballer Ashley Cole.
The divorce petition was filed on 22nd May, with the ground being cited as "unreasonable behaviour".
It is also reported that Mr Cole admitted to infidelity in the divorce papers which were submitted to the High Court in London.
The financial settlement is hoped to provide a clean break between the spouses, with Mrs Cole reported as saying she will allow her estranged husband to keep possession of their Surrey home, valued at £6 million, and that she does not wish to claim maintenance or any lump sum payment from Mr Cole.
Mr Cole, who will be represented by a male City of London divorce solicitor, was said to be "devastated" by the commencement of the divorce proceedings at this time - just two and a half weeks before he is due to begin his World Cup campaign with the rest of the England football squad on 12th June.
